Orihuela Costa is located in the south of Alicante province, a paradise for foreigners. The beaches, restaurants, the magnificent year-round Mediterranean climate and its good connections to the airport and other cities make this area of the Costa Blanca a favourite for foreign retirees.

The Mediterranean climate and more than 325 days of sunshine a year mean you can enjoy living a stone’s throw from the sea all year round, where you can practice water sports such as stand up paddle boarding, sailing, surfing, kayaking and rowing. Both autumn and spring are good times to visit Orihuela Costa because of the mild and sunny weather, perfect for going to the beach without the typical summer heat. The myriad of restaurants, bars and shopping centres are the main attraction for most Orihuela Costa residents. There are also restaurants in this area that are adapted for a variety of languages such as English, French, Russian, Swedish, Norwegian, German… This is in addition to the wide range of restaurants of all kinds such as British, Asian, Argentinian, Italian, Indian, Japanese or Spanish, for all tastes and palates!

La Zenia Boulevard shopping centre is the largest and most popular with local residents. It has many shops selling clothes, shoes, cosmetics, sports, electrical appliances, pharmacy, opticians, telephony, jewellery, toys, pet products and a hypermarket. La Zenia Boulevard is a great place to spend a day shopping and enjoy a meal in one of its restaurants.

There are also other shopping centres all along the Orihuela Costa arc such as La Campana, Zeniamar, La Mosca, Via Park 2, Los Dolses, Bellavista, Playa Marina, La Fuente, Mil Palmeras with restaurants, bars, shops and more services.

Good connections to airports and major cities

Road connections to airports such as Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport in Alicante or the International Airport of the Region of Murcia are easy and accessible. All foreign visitors have access to a wide range of national and international flights, allowing them to return to this enchanting corner of southern Costa Blanca.

Torrevieja, Orihuela Costa’s neighbouring city, is just a few minutes away by car and offers a wide range of services, restaurants and leisure areas, natural parks, hospitals… Furthermore, Orihuela Costa is close to large cities such as Alicante and Murcia.
