Ángeles Serna, Group's president, has participated as a speaker at the SIMAPPRO Forum on second homes with experts from real estate. Serna: "Alicante is positioned as the leading driving force in the figures of the residential tourism sector with citizens of English, German and Polish nationality"

 

Torrevieja, 27th May 2022 – TM Real Estate Group, a leading company in the residential tourism sector in Alicante, participated in SIMA, the leading real estate event in Europe for professionals, where companies, institutions and professionals meet to share their views on current real estate issues.

 

During the event, Ángeles Serna, the company’s president and Director of Corporate Governance, took part in the SIMAPRO Forum on second homes, which addressed issues such as the investment factor in purchase decisions, new motivations and preferences and the importance of property management services, among others. The conference, moderated by Ferrán Font, Director of Studies at PISOS.COM, also included presentations by José María Esteban, National Director of Real Estate Development at ORES&BRYAN; Setareh Mohregi, Director of the Costa del Sol International Department at GILMAR CONSULTING REAL ESTATE; and Javier Román, Director of Real Estate Assets – Head of Real Estate at DIGLO.

During her participation in the forum, Serna concluded that levels of foreign purchases are reaching pre-pandemic figures, “a fact that places Spain as a leader in residential tourism within the global market.” Furthermore, TM’s president confirmed that Property Management services are in high demand and have a long way to go. These results place Alicante as the leading area driving the figures in the residential tourism sector with people of English, German and Polish nationality.”

 

As a result, TM attended this major national and international event with its own stand, presenting its entire range of seaside properties in Mallorca, Marbella, Estepona, Alicante, Murcia and Almeria.

 

 

With Alicante being the epicentre, it has been the national leader for second homes since 2008, with a total of 557,579 second homes in 2020.  These figures mean that 8.61% of non-primary housing in Spain is located in the province of Alicante, according to data from the Institute of Economic Studies of the Province of Alicante, INECA.
