The Altaona development is TM's second subsidised housing project in Murcia. The previous one, called Amelie, consisted of 167 homes.

Murcia, 26th January 2022 – The Regional Minister for Development and Infrastructures, José Ramón Díez de Revenga, visited Altaona, a subsidised housing development which conforms to the new model of subsidised housing in the Region of Murcia and which is being built by TM Grupo Inmobiliario from Alicante, a leading company in the residential tourism sector.

The visit took place today at the location of the development that has benefited from this new housing model promoted by the Region. Díez de Revenga stated that the new model allows the type and size of the homes to be adapted to cater for all types of families, from people living alone to large families and anyone who finds it difficult to access free homes.

Similarly, Manuel Fernández-Fígares Morales, Deputy Managing Director of TM Grupo Inmobiliario, said: “We believe corporate responsibility means contributing to the society in which we operate, so TM is working on a very important line of development by helping to establish affordable housing.”

The project, which applied for a building permit in 2019 and began construction in 2021, will finish with an overall investment of 7.4 million euros in the area and the creation of a total of 160 direct and indirect jobs.

Fernández-Fígares stressed the importance of public-private collaboration, stating: “Altaona is one of the projects we have developed in Murcia, but we are not stopping here: we also have land under development for 3,500 homes in the region. Our aim is to continue to invest and develop this partnership with new developments in the coming years that will generate around 8,000 jobs in the area. TM believes that this is part of our business return, contributing to the development of society.

Fernández-Fígares also took advantage of this meeting to ask the administration to “adjust the maximum price modules with a minimum profitability for these developments, without forgetting the importance of administrative agility and legal security, seeking bureaucratic procedures that are as short as possible in terms of time.  He also stressedthe need for the reinstatement of direct purchase aid for customers or, failing that, a boost to developing more guarantees as they are a very important commercial and purchasing aid tool.”
