You have probably heard of aerothermics. If you are thinking of changing your air conditioning system or looking for a new home… You may have heard of this term before. But do you know what it means?

Aerothermics is a technology that uses air energy to air-condition spaces. It is considered a very efficient and clean energy source. It is primarily used for air-conditioning and hot water production.

It is easy to operate. A pump extracts the energy contained in the outdoor air temperature and transfers it to a room to be air-conditioned or to the water to be heated. It achieves this effect with a thermodynamic cycle that uses low-temperature compressed refrigerant gas to extract heat from the outdoor air.

What are the pros and cons of aerothermics?

The pros of having aerothermics at home are evident:

  • Lower energy consumption than with traditional heating systems.
  • Renewable and sustainable energy source.
  • No combustion required.
  • Requires almost no maintenance.
  • No need to use gas or fuel to air-condition your home.
  • Easy to install and allows a combination of outputs (radiators, underfloor heating, etc.).
  • Lowest energy-consuming heating system.

The cons are:

  • Initial investment is costly.
  • A device must be mounted outdoors.
  • Not advisable if you live in cold areas, as it reduces its performance.
  • Installation of aerothermic equipment usually implies the need to increase the house’s electrical power.

These disadvantages need not bother you if you acquire your home with TM Grupo Inmobiliario, as most of our residential properties provide the aerothermic system included in the project.
