Now that we are in summer, the terraces are the real stars of properties. They can be large, small, facing the sun, or in a shady area… Whatever your terrace, you have endless possibilities. Would you like to know how to get the most out of it?

First, you must be clear about how you want to use your terrace, whether you want it to be a dining area, a rest area or a children’s area, once this is clear, it will be much easier to decorate it to your liking. Also, in this post, you will find some inspiration.

  1. Large terrace: designate spaces

If you have a large terrace you have it much easier, in a single space, you can create several areas, for example, a living area and dining area. How can we make it happen? You can separate spaces using artificial grass for the living area and outdoor rugs for the dining area, for example, or some planters with tall plants could also be useful, and additionally they can provide you with privacy.

  1. Small terrace: less is more

If your terrace is small, lots of furniture and decoration will make it look even smaller. Our recommendation in this case, is that less is more. For example, you can combine a small coffee table with benches that are attached to the perimeter of the terrace, which can double up as a rest area. If you prefer not to have a table, two folding fabric loungers could also be an excellent option.

  1. Light furniture

Light furniture is essential whether your terrace is small or large, avoiding bulky furniture will make it easier for you to move it around and give you a greater sense of spaciousness.

  1. Always seek privacy

You will not be able to find peace in your home if you do not create the intimacy that we all need. Wooden lattices can be a good solution, but if you are looking for something that provides coolness, plants will undoubtedly be your best ally. The greenery will turn your terrace into a natural space and will help you regulate temperatures.

  1. Choose textiles wisely

Textiles are more important than you may initially consider. Textiles can bring joy to your space. It is essential to choose materials that resist sunlight, and you can also mix textures if you cannot resist.
