Live spring the Mediterranean way.

March brings the spring with milder temperatures and longer days. Not surprisingly, this is the preferred season for lots of outdoor activities in Spain. Many residents come and visit their TM homes this month, and enjoy the special light and warmth of the Mediterranean, and the beauty of the surroundings, thanks to flowering trees and plants in parks and forests just a few kilometres inland from the coast.

Here, we want to propose 6 fantastic beauty spots that are quite close to your home on the beach. Ready for a nice stroll? Don’t miss out. These places are sure to give you joy!

The Concepcion Reservoir, Costa del Sol

Also known as the Río Verde Dam, this impressive reservoir supplies over 450,000 local people with drinking water. But it’s also a beautiful place to disconnect, relax and enjoy nature, just under 20 minutes from Marbella.

You can reach the reservoir along different hiking trails starting very close to your estate:

La Mena Trails, Almeria Coast

Known by the name of “La Mena-Macenas”, this is a route that runs along the Mediterranean Sea, providing beautiful views. Don’t miss this magnificent 10km trail if you’re near the coast of Almeria.

It starts very close to our residential estate in San Juan de los Terreros:

The Umbrian Forest Path (Sierra Espuña), Murcia

Sierra Espuña is a mountain range in the Murcia Region pertaining to four municipalities: Alhama de Murcia, Totana, Aledo and Mula. This is a very popular woodland amongst nature lovers in view of its huge diversity of flora and fauna, and the wide variety of trails, routes and outdoor activities available in the area.

Our suggestion is you try the north face of the Sierra, specifically, the Umbrian Forest Path, a magnificent route with a low level of difficulty, only 13.3km long.

Our residents in Murcia can easily enjoy this route.

The Pink Lagoon, Costa Blanca South

If you are one of the lucky people residing along Costa Blanca South, you’ve probably heard of this spectacular spot of unique beauty. And you may have wondered why the water of the lagoon is pinkish. Few know the real reason: It’s due to the presence of a bacterium (Dunaliella salina), which in combination with the high salinity of the lagoon, causes the water to vary in colour depending on the type of light and the time of day.

If you haven’t visited this place yet, it’s very close to these estates:

Puig Campana, Costa Blanca North

An iconic hiking spot in the province of Alicante. If want to enjoy an advanced level hiking trail, we propose a climb up the Puig Campana mountain at 1046m, and one of the highest points in the province. The views over the coast and the interior won’t disappoint you.

This trail is just a few kilometres from our estates along Costa Blanca North:

Routes on the Cabrera Archipelago, Majorca

This Archipelago has 19 islets, totalling 10,000 hectares in size. Cabrera is listed as a National Terrestrial Maritime Park, and it’s one of the most beautiful places on the island of Majorca.

If you don’t have your own sea transport, there are a variety of excursions from Colònia de Sant Jordi there that visit this wonder of Majorcan nature.

The Cabrera Archipelago is a great option if you want to enjoy an outing close to your home in Majorca:
