The Costa del Sol is one of those places in Spain that has a special charm... Never-ending beaches, unforgettable sunsets, charming towns, good gastronomy... Why not discover it by car this summer? You can divide it into 2 parts and visit the Western Costa del Sol and then the Eastern Costa del Sol.

Road Trips Along the Western Costa Del Sol

In this area you will find our residential developments in the Costa del Sol. Stops will include Estepona, Marbella and Mijas.

  1. Estepona

You can start the road trip in Estepona, a traditional Andalusian town. This municipality is most famous for its beaches, but you can’t miss its historic centre, with its traditional houses with geraniums on the façades, a place with a special charm.

  1. Marbella

After visiting Estepona your next stop has to be Marbella. There’s not much to say about this city – it’s an emblem of the Costa del Sol. Leisure, glamour and culture shape this city. Its historic centre is unbeatable, with narrow streets, white façades and small squares, such as Los Naranjos, making Marbella a special place. You can’t leave without visiting Puerto Banús, an extravagant place where luxury is the real protagonist.

  1. Fuengirola

Fuengirola is the third stop on the road trip. A stroll along the long promenade is a must, where you can enjoy the lively atmosphere and the bars and restaurants, where the espetos (grilled sardines) are a must. Its monuments include the archaeological site Finca del Secretario, and the Sohail Castle, with impressive views of the Mediterranean.

  1. Mijas

Just 20 minutes from Fuengirola you will find Mijas, one of the most spectacular villages on the Costa del Sol. Its historic centre has been declared a Historic-Artistic Site. You can visit the gardens and the Mirador de la Muralla viewpoint, where you can enjoy some of the most spectacular views of the coast.

  1. Benalmádena

Last stop: Benalmádena. An old town with narrow streets and squares. You must visit the Felipe Orlando Museum of Pre-Columbian Art, home to one of the best collections in Spain. Colomares Castle and the reddish-coloured Bil Bil Castle are two other must-sees in this beautiful coastal town.

Road Trips Along the Eastern Costa Del Sol

  1. Frigiliana

Start the road trip along the Eastern Costa del Sol with a stop in Frigiliana, one of the most photographed and visited villages in Spain. A stroll along calle Zacatín and calle Amargura is a must. Its cobbled white streets will lead you to breathtaking views of the Mediterranean.

  1. Maro

Continue along the road and you will reach Maro, a village famous for its views of the Paraje Natural de los Acantilados. A panoramic view where the sea meets the mountains. Nearby you will find the Nerja cave, an obligatory stop, which for many is the first work of art of mankind.

  1. Nerja

The next stop is Nerja, where you have to walk to the famous Balcón de Europa, where you can look out over the coast. The El Salvador church and the Nuestra Señora de las Angustias hermitage are also must-sees. Verano Azul was filmed in Nerja, so for those nostalgic for the series, a visit to the park that pays homage to it is a must, where you can have your photo taken with the legendary Chanquete’s boat, among other things.

  1. Rincón de la Victoria

The last stop is Rincón de la Victoria, a town surrounded by a jungle environment with spectacular monuments such as the Bezmiliana Castle or La Cueva del Tesoro. Don’t leave without tasting the traditional boquerones (anchovies) in the chiringuitos along the coast.
