TM Real Estate Group helps charity project “Laboramusic”
30/03/2011
TM together with some of its most important partners are funding a visit to Spain for the children of Pasto (Columbia), who will be performing concerts as part of this innovative charity project.
Laboramusic (literally “Music Works”), is a social project which began in Spain with the aim to promote the intergration of people with disabilities through dance techniques and, on the international stage, also aims to strengthen the development of underprivileged children in countries such as Columbia.
As part of this program, music workshops were set up in which 780 children and 65 teachers got together and recorded a demo CD of traditional music and also took part in other leisure and cultural activities in and around the Columbian town of Pasto.
The Mayor of Pasto, whose council was awarded the Queen Sofia Prize 2010 for its easy access to all sectors of the community, has financed a trip for 10 of the more underpriviledged children who took part in the project, so that they can participate in a concert of traditional music from Spain, Colombia, Argentina and Northern Europe.
The charity concert will take place next Sunday, 10th April 2011, at 18.00 hrs in the Palacio de Altea. The concert has been made possible thanks to the co-operation of the General Foundation of the University of Alicante, the Caja del Mediterráneo Rose Foundation, Palau Altea, Marjal Group and APSA.
